Music Box Care was founded by Alicia Diaz, a college piano professor and educator, who began working closely with senior communities following the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, she witnessed a noticeable decline in connection and engagement among older adults, which deeply impacted her and naturally became the focus of her work.

Inspired by this experience, Alicia developed a structured, music-based approach designed to support cognitive, emotional, physical, and social well-being.

Today, Music Box Care partners with senior care organizations to provide purposeful, engaging, and person-centered programming through music.
